Tunngle Voice

Tunngle has formed a strategic partnership with NationVoice.com to offer a top quality voice service to the Tunngle Community.
Tunngle Voice is completely free and allows Community members to voice-chat with each other using some of the most popular VoIP tools for gamers.

Supported Services

Tunngle Voice currently features the Ventrilo Voice Chat Service.
Mumble and TeamSpeak 3 support is planned for later.

We recommend that you join the server that is closer to you for a better perfromance.

Ventrilo

Ventrilo is a popular VoIP tool used by gamers all over the world.
It is best known for it's superior sound quality and minimal use of CPU resources so as not to interfere with day to day operations of the computer or during online game competitions.
It is also preferred for the simple user interface that any first time computer user can very quickly learn because the most commonly used features are immediately visible and can be activated with a single click of the mouse.

First Time Setup

User and Server

To correctly setup Ventrilo to connect to the Tunngle servers you need to:

• Download and Install: http://www.ventrilo.com/download.php
• Start Ventrilo up
• Click the arrow near the User Name drop-down
• Click New, type your name and click OK two times to save the new user
• Select the newly created user from the User Name dropdown
• Click the arrow near the Server drop-down
• Click New, type a name and click OK
• Fill the server details as follows:
  • Hostname or IP:
    • Europe: tunngle-eu.nationvoice.com
    • USA: tunngle-usa.nationvoice.com
  • Port number: 3784
• Click OK to save the server information
• Select the newly created user from the Server drop-down
• Click Connect button on the Right

Audio Setup

If you don't hear anything or if you would like to change your Audio Settings:

• Click the Setup button on the right
• From the Voice Tab:
  • Select the proper Input and Output devices on the right
  • Tweak Inbound and Outbound amplifiers
  • If you want talk on keypress be sure that Use Push To Talk Hotkey (PTT Mode) is checked and that you set the Hotkey by clicking in the Hotkey input box and pressing the key you would like to use to turn on the transmission.
  • If you want the automatic voice detection to work be sure that Use Push To Talk Hotkey (PTT Mode) is unchecked and that you choose a proper sensitivity to properly trigger the transmission.
• Click OK to apply the new settings.

Usage Notices

• If you use Windows Seven or Vista in Push to Talk mode be sure that you start Ventrilo as Administrator by right clicking the Ventrilo shortcut. This is sometimes required in order for the Hotkey to operate correctly.
• Choose the proper room for your Voice chat.
• Do not disturb others.
• Try to speak the same language as the others user of the room.
