LAN-party from home: the Tunngle game-community software makes it possible

Kamen, Germany - PC gamers like to compete against one another, because they often find playing alone on the computer boring. Organizing a LAN party with friends can be taxing - but thanks to the Internet, there is an alternative. The Tunngle peer-to-peer VPN tool offers a broad range of virtual networks to its users, in which almost all TCP/UDP capable games with multiplayer support can be played via a highly encrypted connection.

The protection of one's privacy is the central element. In order to do this, Tunngle implements a proprietary protocol, which enables high-encryption data connections between the gamers. The gamer is protected by an integrated firewall. "In order to quickly begin playing, we have developed a comfortable and easy-to-use network browser. It also offers an integrated search function, which makes it easy to locate the desired network", Axel Figger, managing director of Tunngle.net GmbH, explains.

Chats and data exchange for users

But a network would not be worthy of the term if its participants were unable to interact with each other: Every game network also has an integrated group chat. Other social media features enhance the product offering: Every Tunngler - this is how Tunngle users refer to themselves - has the possibility to create his or her own friends list and can participate in private chats with these friends - even across networks. Other high-performance functions, such as the Tunngle blacklist, data exchange, Tunngle DNS or chat rooms provide the users with further options to interact.

But that's not all. "The software can be used in several languages. As a result, we get many new users every day who discover, that Tunngle is a wonderful way to experience multiplayer games in an excellent environment for online entertainment", Axel Figger sums up. The VPN software is currently in a free beta testing phase and its popularity with gamers continues to rise. Technically, Tunngle supports all modern Windows-based systems, including Windows 7 in both 32 and 64 bit.

The Tunngle managing director explains the company's future plans: "We will continue to extensively fine-tune the software and will offer new interesting and creative possibilities with new community projects". Within the community, it is easy to find help or fellow gamers at any time. That is why playing alone is a thing of the past.
