fully working game with co-op mode

M O D S

Please have in mind that there is a very small chance to be VAC banned because u have made changes to this files so i recommend u to use a new steam account, and choose in game options/Online VAC secured game to NONE and also when u play coop play it with people who are also disabled this option!!

Camera FOV mode :

This MOD change camera degree (default is 62.5) to 82.5 for better view!

INSTALLATION :

Go to : Dead Island/DI and find file "Data0.pak", open it using winrar than open Data folder and find "Skills" folder, inside find file called "default_levels.xml" and unpack it to desktop.Open this file using notepad , than scroll a little down and find string "<prop n="CameraDefaultFOV" v="62.5"/>" and change number to 82.5 and save it.
Now, go to Dead Island/DI/out and create folder "Data", inside create another folder called "Skills" and here put the file "default_levels.xml" u was edited.

Strong fists MOD + Fists skill expirience bonus :

Very funny mod , with this u dont need any weapon

INSTALLATION :

I N S T A L L N O T E S :

1. Simply extract it anywhere convenient (it doesn’t have to be your Dead Island folder), and run the program ;
2. Run program ;
3. Go right click on icon in taskbar and choose "Change your Dead Island Game Folder" and choose where u installed game;
4. Tweak game .

What program fix:

- Tweaks have been split up and categorised. The result is a cleaner interface and an easier time finding the tweaks you want
- Alternate settings folder support. You can now switch between My Documents and your game folder, if you’re finding that the tweaks aren’t working
- Added the following tweaks: Disable event logging, Disable in-game voice and Enable simple shadows
- Small reminder when Video.scr is read-only or writeable and the ability to easily switch between these settings
- The program should now prompt the user for administrative privileges
- Renamed the keystroke repetition feature to make its usefulness more obvious
- Corrected a typo with the field of view settings
- Added a Close menu option along with Exit program
- Various checks and balances for missing files and directories
- Added a passive check for the micro-stutter fix so it only limits keyboard repetition while Dead Island is running.
- Fixed a potential memory leak in the file extraction rountine

If u want to further improve graphic settings :

Go to your game installation folder open DI/out/settings and with notepad open file called "Video.scr"

Update 1

please follow instructions below:

1. install game ;

2. ****

3. after that open "Dead Island_Update1_SP_COOP.rar" folder and unrar files and copy them to your installation folder where u ****** game and replace files;

4. install steam from "steam" folder, let it update and create new account (if u allready dont have any);

5. open "smartsteam" folder and copy all files to : C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam and make a shortcut of smartsteam on your desktop (coz u will use smartsteam and not original steam-remmember);

6. run smartsteam and go to games/add a nonsteam game/browse and find your deadisland.exe in installation folder, check the box and go "add selected programs";
go to steam/settings/downloads+cloud and pop up "download region" meny and choose "Germany-Frankfurt", after that MINIMISE SMARTSTEAM dont close it ;

7. install tunngle , u can find it in "Tunngle" folder and create account (if u allready dont have one), than go to search network and tape "Dead Island", when u find it just double-click to open it;

8. create desktop shortcut of deadisland.exe from your game directorium and run it as administrator, when u start game in lower right corner u will see steam logo (that means your game works);

9. to be abble to play co-op mode, go to settings
in game and do this:
Game type : cooperative
Game visibility : LAN
Public Slots : (u can choose how many people can join u 1-3)
ather 2 are not imprortant

10. now just go to play game and when u finnish first level (Act 1 ) u will be abble to play coop mode, just press ESC button and choose game lobby to find people.


*IMPORTANT- if u are allready played game and wasnt abble to play coop after patching game with this files i give u , u will lost all saves so u need to start all over again.

If u have problems with save game after restarting smartsteam try this (all credits to : Euro.D ):

1. Completely uninstall Steam ;
2. Delete what was left in the folder ;
3. Clear registry with CCleaner ;
4. Create new account on Steam ;
5. Install Steam again and copy SmartSteam files ;
6. Add Dead Island to Non-Steam games .

Update 2 (remmember with changing updates u will probabbly lost your save progress) - u need to have Update 1 first, than apply Update 2!

Coop works, but profile and save data are being ignored next time you start SmartSteam. Did all by the tunngle instructions. Checked with two steam accounts.

"Add non-steam game" is just a creation of a shortcut. But yes, I added it.

did u done evrything as i posted? it must work.. i tested it whole day and no bugs with save

also check steam_appid.txt it need to be 57940

Nothing helps. After steam restart, all setting and saves are reset. Don't know why.

well with this update u can play co-op buth with others for the game u can play only single player (i think)
