The NEW, OFFICIAL RVTFiX (MP-Fix V7) is contained inside the UPdated All-In-One (AIO) Pack is NOW available AND necessary to play online in Resident Evil/Biohazard: Revelations (RE/BH: R) again!

The RE/BH: R MP-Fix V6 is NO longer working (able to play online) because it has been PATCHED.

This thread contains IMPORTANT information about the RE/BH: R MP-Fix V7 and the ACTUAL download link for the updated AIO Pack (Update 1 + RVTFiX + DLCs) for RE/BH: R.

3. Copy ALL the contents of the “RE_BH Revelations AIO Pack (Update 1 + RVTFiX + DLCs)” folder and paste it into the game’s installation folder* to install it, when asked IF to merge and over-write existing file(s), click “Yes” for ALL.

Questions & Answers:

Q. Why is this updated AIO pack labelled as “Update 1” when the original AIO pack was labelled “Update 4” by LITER?

A. Capcom/Steam has ONLY released ONE update for this game so far. I have changed the numbering back to 1 to be in line with Steam’s count. The MOST probable reason LITER (the original creator of the AIO pack) labelled it as 4 is because that is the numbering his source had used so he followed the source’s numbering. His source’s Update 4 files are the SAME as Update 1 (I have confirmed this is true).

Q. Will I have to start over again from the beginning?

A. No, you will NOT lose your current progress made (IF the save game file was made by ANY of the previous MP-Fix versions and/or IF you already copied over your OLD save game file to the “save” folder, SEE instructions below).

The OLD save game file location for FAiRLIGHT’s (FLT) release is here: %LOCALAPPDATA%\FLT\Steam\222480\remote. If you installed the “RE_BH Revelations AIO Pack (Update 1 + RVTFiX + DLCs).7z” content for the first time, then go to FLT’s folder path to COPY the “DATA0.dat” file, now go to your game’s installation folder, make a NEW folder called “save” (IF it does NOT exist already) and paste it into the “save” folder (IF the game already made one there, OVERwrite it). The OLD save game file you have will automatically work with the RE/BH: R MP-Fix V7.

Q. What are the DLCs included in this AIO Pack?

A. All the DLCs released for Resident Evil Revelations thus far are included in this AIO Pack, here is the listing:

• Resident Evil: Revelations Parker’s Government Handgun + Custom Part: “FBC”
  
• Resident Evil: Revelations Jessica’s G18 + Custom Part: “BSAA”
  
• Resident Evil: Revelations Jill’s Samurai Edge + Custom Part: “S.T.A.R.S.”

Q. Why does the “Spacewar” AppID work now, when you said it had DISconnection problems before?

A. This is a NEW Steamworks Fix created by REVOLT and released just BEFORE (24 hours) the OLD “Gotham City Impostors: Free To Play” AppID was patched. The now REPLACED xps2’s Steamworks Fix has some INconsistent disconnection problems when the “Spacewar” AppID is used, Ada Wong and I have personally tested and experienced this when we were in the process on testing it to UPdate the AppID in September 2013.

How to extract the files out of the .7z archive:

I suspect you are using an OUTDATED version of WinRAR and/or an INcompatible software, this is what is causing this problem of NOT being able to extract the files successfully out of the .7z archive. Below are TWO solutions to this problem:

Solution 1 (RECOMMENDED):

Download 7-Zip: http://www.7-zip.org/download.html

Install 7-Zip

Click “Start” > “All Programs” > “7-Zip” > “7-Zip File Manager” > “Tools” > “Options...”

On the “System” tab, check the “7z” box (make SURE it ticked, IF it is NOT already)

Click “OK”, close “7-Zip File Manager”

IF you had tried to extract the files out of the .7z archive already, delete the “RE_BH Revelations AIO Pack (Update 1 + RVTFiX + DLCs)” folder that WinRAR/other software created

Right-click on “RE_BH Revelations AIO Pack (Update 1 + RVTFiX + DLCs).7z”, click ’Extract to “RE_BH Revelations AIO Pack (Update 1 + RVTFiX + DLCs)\”’
└ The one that has NO icon in the context menu

Open the newly created “RE_BH Revelations AIO Pack (Update 1 + RVTFiX + DLCs)” folder (that 7-Zip created), copy ALL the contents

Paste it into the game’s installation folder* to install it, when asked IF to merge and over-write existing file(s), click “Yes” for ALL.

* Default game install path:

• 32-bit: C:\Program Files\Resident Evil Revelations
  
• 64-bit: C:\Program Files (x86)\Resident Evil Revelations

UNinstall your current WinRAR version

Download the LATEST version of WinRAR: http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm

Install WinRAR

IF you had tried to extract the files out of the .7z archive already, delete the “RE_BH Revelations AIO Pack (Update 1 + RVTFiX + DLCs)” folder that WinRAR/other software created

Right-click on “RE_BH Revelations AIO Pack (Update 1 + RVTFiX + DLCs).7z”, click “Extract to RE_BH Revelations AIO Pack (Update 1 + RVTFiX + DLCs)\”
└ The one that has the WinRAR icon in the context menu

Open the newly created “RE_BH Revelations AIO Pack (Update 1 + RVTFiX + DLCs)” folder (that WinRAR created), copy ALL the contents

Paste it into the game’s installation folder* to install it, when asked IF to merge and over-write existing file(s), click “Yes” for ALL.

* Default game install path:

• 32-bit: C:\Program Files\Resident Evil Revelations
  
• 64-bit: C:\Program Files (x86)\Resident Evil Revelations

darkeneshadow used x64 7-Zip 9.20 (the LATEST version) to create the “RE_BH Revelations AIO Pack (Update 1 + RVTFiX + DLCs).7z” archive, this is why I HIGHLY recommend using “Solution 1” (7-Zip) over using “Solution 2” (WinRAR). 7-Zip is also completely FREE.

He has ALSO personally done a test extraction with the LATEST version of WinRAR (x64 WinRAR 5 Beta 8, at the time of this post) on the archive above and the results are:

He successfully downloaded the “RE_BH Revelations AIO Pack (Update 1 + RVTFiX + DLCs).7z” archive, used WinRAR to extract the files out of the .7z archive with NO error messages and/or problems during the extraction process, the files were successfully extracted and were INTACT (working).

The conclusion of this test is: there is NO problem with the .7z archive, as it IT WORKS (as it is supposed to).

It's probably something really simple. Sure enough if I use the original "steam_api.dll" file the rerev.exe works just fine.

So what's with the "steam_api.dll" file from the RE: R MP-Fix V6 pack that causes rerev.exe to fail?

This is ALSO strange. The current theory I have formulated, as the source of your problem does NOT fit with this scenario, this is why - to me, it does NOT yet make sense.

As I stated above the problem is related to the “MSVCR100.dll” file (or the current version/ installation of “Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package” as a whole) and NOT the “steam_api.dll” file (if it was the fault of the “steam_api.dll” file, the Windows Error would have pointed specifically to the file). The MP-Fix V6 (or ANY of the MP-Fix versions) are NOT intended or supposed to cause the “rerev.exe” to crash.

This is an odd problem I have NEVER before seen reported anywhere or to me before in my many months of giving technical support for RE6 and RE: R.

Warlord Blade you are awesome.

The simple tip you suggested was the last one that gave me a clue.

Are you opening BOTH Steam/ GreenLuma and the game as an Administrator? Yes but I wasn't sure on the .exe part.

Then for the sake of it I right click the rerev.exe and selected run as administrator. Sure enough the .exe ran just fine. I saw the costumes unlocked/all the weapon packs become unlocked so that tells me I installed the pack right.

Did the same trick for RE6 and it worked.

Amazing something so simple I overlooked. Notice the save file gets saved in same directory as the game called "save" instead of
C:\ProgramData\Steam\RLD!

Do you know if I grab a completed save file then copied that over to that new save directory will it still work? For RE6 I played through the prologue and reached the save point. Exited and renamed the save file and tried a completed save file and it reported it as damaged.

The DLC contents of this update seems to work on the game and I'm glad it is, Finally got some new decent weapons to choose from- both for campaign mode and raid mode...

Although I seems to have trouble trying to play Raid mode online... i can't seemed to find or joined any game in Resident Evil Revelations via the quick match, whereas in Resident Evil 6 I could find and join a game with ease via quick match...

Do I still need to invite some friends and create my own game? In RE6 I never had any friends on my list on steam. for I can still join any game even without one anyways

Öncelikle yardımından dolayı teşekkür ederim . Arkadaşımın indirdiği sürüm benim indirdiğim sürüm ile aynı NoSteam Adlı grubun oyunu arkadaşım bu Pack'i yüklemeden önce oyuna girebiliyordu fakat bu paket dosyası içindekileri attıktan sonra oyuna girmeye çalışınca bu rerev.exe çalışmayı durdurdu hatasını almaya başladı. Benim indirdiğim ile aynı olduğu için sürümden kaynaklanan bir sorun değil çünkü ben oyuna girebiliyorum . Arkadaşım Windows Xp kullandığı için Yönetici Olarak Çalıştır diye bir seçeneği yok haliyle. Ek olarak GreenLuma.exe'yide açamıyor. Normalde Steam'e giriyor fakat greenluma ile giremiyor Greenluma komple açılmıyor.

I have a trouble with this game to make it working online. Is this method still working? I did everything right, the game works offline well, but not online. My steam says am playing with gotham city impostors, and when I try to invite a friend, it send an invite for that game, not RE:R. When my friend send an invite to me, I click on it, and steam redirects me to the page, where I can buy RE:R game. Someone help pls!

It's impossible to show you that you're playing the original game, because..... you know so Gotham City is properly shown. All you need both with your friend/s you must use same IDs which mean you cant play together with legal owners.
So buy the game or play with another friend.

In the tutorial there is nowhere written any word of that I can't play with legal owners, just use steam, add friends, and invite them... This is BS, cause how can I find out who are using not legal games... Thx anyway...

Fella, as far as I can saw you're not familiar with Steam "fixes" and/or maybe you didn't read the first post in that thread specifically about the IDs as well.
So, believe me almost all of them work in that way. How else you would explain the fact when you run the game Steam shows that this is not the game which you've started, but actually it is the game.
The answer is: obviously you can not play with legal owners(talking about this game atm), due the fact you play different games for Steam.
