1. a) This game’s player base are realistically (and
PERsistently)
SPLIT oddly between
SEVEN (commonly three
FREQUENT versions are usually found playing online) game
VERSION NUMBERS, which is
FURTHER SUB-divided again oddly between
TWO DIFFERENT “BH6.exe”s (from
RELOADED and
3DM scene releases respectively).
EVEN when players are
BOTH using the
SAME game version numbers from
RELOADED and
3DM, they experience
DISconnection problems in certain parts of the game when playing online.
1. b) The
CAUSE of the last point is
MOSTLY because of those
INcomplete,
OUTdated and
MISleading videos on YouTube and people who have typewritten guides/instructions on other websites/forums who simply do
NOT put a hyperlink back to the
Resident Evil 6 Tunngle Wiki and do
NOT update their descriptions and/or instructions to match the
LATEST content of the Tunngle Wiki.
1. c) Point 1. a should be
EMphasized on the Tunngle Wiki.
SIDE POINT:
ALL of the video tutorials on the Tunngle Wiki
EXcept for vstPower, do
NOT give a hyperlink back to the Tunngle Wiki (they did
NOT even mention in the description/show it in their video).
2. a) The other
MAJOR and frequent problem hit when Update
6 was released, causing the very problem seen in post
#7 above to become a
VERY frequent occurrence (even
MORE than players having
NO updates installed, that is, they just installed the game and the MP-Fix and try to play online, usually
UNsuccessfully,
SEE reason below in point 2. b)
2. b) The
MAJORITY of players simply do
NOT know this
FACT:
ONLY players with the
SAME game (“BH6.exe”)
VERSION NUMBER can find, connect to each other and play online
PLUS the scene release of
BOTH executable files
MUST match too (for
100% COMpatibility online).
2. c) This led to
MANY players
thinking that there were
NO more players available (
NOT finding games in the “SESSION LIST” [game’s internal browser] and/or
NOT being able to connect to other players via Steam game invites) to play online and caused
MORE than a few to leave/switch to
ANother game.
2. d) There should
ONLY be
ONE game version number: Update
5 (as the Tunngle Wiki recommends it).
3. a) Since the (
OFFICIAL) MP-Fix V4’s AppID was
BLOCKED, there were many players who
QUIT playing the game altogether because of the delay (about
FOUR days) before the MP-Fix was updated to play online (updated to MP-Fix V5 by
Everrick158).
3. b)
NOT ONLY what has been typewritten above but there are actually
TWO DIFFERENT “MP-Fix V5”s! The first used the “Killing Floor” AppID and much later the second used “Team Fortress 2” (though the AppIDs are
ALREADY blocked I will
NOT post it here). You can imagine the
CONFUSION that caused (simply because the version was the
SAME number:
V5) and I was
NOT around to personally help anyone through it (I
am ACTIVELY was working on the projects mentioned below). Even when the “Team Fortress 2” version was updated, it was
UNDER promoted until the hyperlink to download it was added to the Tunngle Wiki.
3. c) This led to
EVEN MORE DEcline of active players for this game.
3. d) For reference, the MP-Fix V6 was updated with
IN 48 hours because I was
and still am working on my Resident Evil/Biohazard 6 Problem Solving FAQ to release and
NOT playing the game online
EVERY day (like I
USED to). I did
NOT notice it was
NO longer working as it happened, I did however, notice when I took a break to play online. I conducted a test and realized that the MP-Fix V5 AppID was
BLOCKED. As my Problem Solving FAQ and
SOON to be released Resident Evil/Biohazard 6 AIO (All-In-One) installer (
COMpressed to
HALF the size of
RELOADED’s,
NOTHING removed from it)
NEEDS a working MP-Fix
before both are released, I had to try to fix it myself as
NO one else had
ALREADY.
FORtunately it worked, now I can continue their development as they
BOTH are
GREATLY needed especially now (since the number of active players have taken a
BIG dive per the combined effect of
ALL my points above), to keep this game online.
EDIT:
UPDATE - My
Resident Evil/Biohazard 6 AIO (All-In-One) installer and
Resident Evil/Biohazard 6 Problem Solving FAQ (Homepage) have been
REleased to the public.
